Ping Pong Boy Acrylic Brooch
Being a child of the 70’s, I’m very drawn to the ping pong bowls that vividly depict 2 pairs of boys and gals playing ping pong. They are so cute and look so virtuous!
It wasn’t till much later that I realized these bowls were a product of the 70’s “Ping Pong Diplomacy” which thawed Sino-American relations during the Cold War.
Like the bowls, our brooch also has a hidden agenda – to lure people from the virtual world into the real world and espouse the virtues of physical exercise!
