This loose-fitting cheongsam has no darts, just like those worn around the 1920's. In fact, we nicknamed this cheongsam 林徽因, after a famous Chinese female architect who wore this style of cheongsam even while surveying the roofs of historical Chinese buildings! This looser cut predates the very fitted style of cheongsams popular in the 1960's (like those from "In The Mood For Love"). As someone who thinks that cheongsams doesn’t have to be fitted to be authentic or appealing, I’m glad that this cut is now appreciated by our customers too... something that would have been unlikely 20 years ago.

Comfort fit.
Lining: fully lined in silk polyester blend.
Opening: diagonal front, side buttons.

Fabric:

Light weight polyester/nylon blend organza in jacquard weave.

Care Instructions:

Hand wash separately.
Shrinkage: 2-3%
Ironing: polyester setting or vertical steam ironing.
